UN PLUS applauds Namibia`s decision to lift travel ban for people living with HIV GENEVA, 9 July 2010UN PLUS joins UNAIDS in applauding the decision by the Government of Namibia to lift its travel restrictions for people living with HIV and align the country’s legislation with international public health standards. The reforms—which took effect on 1 July—also remove entry restrictions against people living with other chronic conditions.

UN Plus Meets with Ban Ki-moon 

As part of the 61 st session of the General Assembly, UN Plus– the UN system-wide group of staff living with HIV– met with the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to brief him on the key achievements of the group since its inception in March 2005 and to discuss the opportunities and challenges that UN positive staff face at work. Click here to read more.
